ANDREA MASSARO’S PHOTOGRAPHY

AM Conceptual is the art project of Italian photographer Andrea Massaro, born in Palermo in 1986 and currently based in Milan. His work falls under conceptual photography, an approach where the image works more as a vehicle for expressing ideas, emotions, and symbolism than as a simple attempt to document reality.

Through carefully constructed series, his work explores themes like the body, identity, sensuality, and abstraction, creating compositions meant to go beyond the obvious. The result is imagery that invites the viewer into an open-ended reading, where each photograph can be interpreted from different angles and spark personal reflection on what’s being seen.

Whether life feels like a total mess or not doesn’t really depend only on the cards you’ve been dealt. Sure, they matter. Some hands are better, some are worse, no doubt about it. But reducing everything to that is staying on the surface, sticking to the obvious, the easy explanation anyone can grab onto.

Maybe the key isn’t obsessing over whether you got a good or bad hand, but learning to stay in the game. Reading the table, adapting, even enjoying it when things don’t go your way. And yeah, sometimes throwing a bluff—not because you’ve got the best hand, but because you understand that not everything is what it seems, and that attitude can outweigh the cards.

Because at the end of the day, life isn’t just about the cards you’re dealt… it’s about the attitude you bring when you play them. Some people think that just having a pet automatically makes you a good person. Like taking care of a dog or a cat somehow means you’re full of empathy, values, and zero bad intentions.
But we all know it doesn’t work like that. You can love your pet and still be a complete piece of shit with everyone else.
