THE EROTICISM OF NICHOLAS FREEMANNicholas Freeman is a
fine art and fashion photographer based in
Los Angeles, blending
technical mastery with
creative vision in a
graphic and
timeless style. He has worked for
major fashion brands, both as an
in-house photographer and as an
independent artist, and is recognized for creating
striking imagery that defines his subjects.
He trained in
commercial photography with a
technical camera and
darkroom, but left school early to become an
apprentice to the renowned French fashion and celebrity photographer
Dominick Guillemot, working with
top models and
celebrities on
campaigns and
magazine covers.
Today, he serves on the
board of directors of the
American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), contributing as an
educator and
ambassador to the wider photographic community.
He grew up in
California in the
90s, surrounded by
fashion and
pop culture, influenced by his mother, a
tailor and
seamstress, with whom he shared
magazines like
Vogue and
Vanity Fair and watched fashion shows together.
Outside photography, he is passionate about
conservation: he enjoys
diving,
gardening, and
hiking with his wife
Drusilla and their two
corgis,
Kimchi and
Katsu.
He reached out to share his
work with us, and I thought it was only fair to
share it with you.

So, what did you end up getting tattooed?
SERVED ON A SILVER PLATTERSome expressions suddenly become a little too literal. “
Served on a silver platter” has always meant making things
easy, handing them over without effort, like you don’t even have to lift a finger.
Here, the
metaphor breaks and turns into an
image. What’s usually just a figure of speech becomes a
visual game so straightforward it leaves no room for interpretation.
Elegance and
boldness collide in a simple gesture that turns a cliché into an
unexpected spectacle.
