Mike, better known as Cologne Boudoir, was born in Hesse in the mid-seventies.
With a passionate eye and a refined sense of intimacy, he has turned photography into a personal language to explore human sensuality, specializing in boudoir and artistic nude work.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Public transport has always been one of the great inventions that shaped modern cities. From the first horse-drawn trams to the industrial-era subway cars and the buses that connected entire neighborhoods, the goal was always the same: move people and stitch together what once felt disconnected.

But beyond its practical use, public transport has always been a stage. A place where anonymous lives intersect, where silences are shared, glances are exchanged, routines repeat, and every now and then small, unexpected stories unfold. A train car, a bus, or a station becomes a microcosm that mirrors how life is lived in big cities.

And in the 21st century, that same space has turned into digital territory. Where there used to be only hurry or boredom, now there are phones, cameras, and the power to turn the ordinary into content. Even in a crowded subway, someone can choose to break the routine with a bold, discreet, almost invisible gesture—just enough to catch the eye and change the whole scene.

Maybe that’s what best defines public transport today: still a place to get from A to B, but also a stage where any kind of story can play out—even the ones you never imagined between the poles of a subway car or in the shadow of a seat corner.
