We're taking a little trip through the photography of George Pitts (1951–2017), an American photographer, editor and teacher widely recognized for the huge influence he had on editorial and contemporary photography.

About 11 years ago I already invited you to check out his Tumblr, but between one thing and another, a lot of images were left sitting in the drawer. So today felt like the perfect excuse to recover part of that material and also revisit his photographic career, his style, and that very particular way he had of capturing bodies, scenes and moments with a mix of eroticism, naturalness and aesthetics that's incredibly hard to imitate.

LILAC VOL2

We've already dedicated posts to pink, magenta, fuchsia, green, blue, red, and pretty much every color capable of making a piece of lingerie catch our attention a little more than strictly necessary.

But there was still one missing. Lilac.

And careful, because talking about lilac means stepping into dangerous territory. There's lavender, mauve, violet, amethyst, orchid, and a whole bunch of other shades that, depending on the lighting, the screen, and whoever happens to be looking at them, can end up dangerously close to pink, purple, or even blue.

So before we get started, let's make one thing clear: men don't understand color palettes. We're doing well enough if we can tell twelve colors apart without resorting to “light blue” and “dark blue.”

That's why one of the following videos might feature a piece of lingerie and someone will think: “That's not lilac, that's lavender.” Or mauve. Or violet. Or imperial Carpathian purple at sunset.

I don't care.

If I say it's lilac, it's lilac.

And if you want to argue about it, call your wife, show her the video, and spend the afternoon debating the Pantone chart. Just leave me out of it, because I've already put in enough work selecting these videos for strictly chromatic reasons.

With that settled, here comes a new installment of the lilac saga. A selection of videos where, with varying degrees of scientific consensus, this will be the predominant color.

THE NUDE ART OF ALEXIS PAOLESCHI. PART 1

Alexis Paoleschi is a French photographer specializing in Nude Art, known for a style that combines elegance, minimalism, and a deep sensitivity toward the human figure.

In his work, the body isn't presented simply as something to be admired, but as an expressive element that changes completely depending on the light, shadows, framing, and the space surrounding it. Sometimes he reveals; other times, he merely suggests. And that's precisely where his photographs find their strength.

His work is also built on trust and respect for the person being photographed. That connection allows him to move away from rigid poses and create images that feel much more natural, intimate, and expressive.

Narrowing down the photographs for this post wasn't easy because we had so many, and every one of them deserved to be shared. So instead of leaving a bunch of them out, we decided to divide Paoleschi's work into two parts.

THE 57-YEAR-OLD MILF WHO NEVER EXISTED

Most women created with artificial intelligence seem to have rolled off the same production line: porcelain skin, a face without a single wrinkle, perfect tits, an impossible ass and proportions that nature could only achieve with Photoshop.

The creators of this profile decided to take a different approach. Its protagonist is 57 years old and has been designed to look like a genuinely mature woman: slim, with few curves, some facial wrinkles and a distinctive beauty that doesn't need to pretend she's twenty.





Her videos show what is supposedly her everyday life. She goes to the gym, visits museums, goes out for drinks and cocktails, gets dressed up, takes walks and enjoys the kind of sophisticated lifestyle we associate with an attractive, confident and independent woman. One of those elegant, desirable moms we've all fantasized about meeting at some point.

Obviously, none of what we see is real. Not the woman, not her age and not her weekend plans. But the profile is designed to make you forget that small detail for a few seconds and feel as though you're following the life of a real person.

And, as usually happens in these cases, behind the museum visits, gym sessions and glasses of wine, there's a link to a paid platform. Because this MILF may not exist, but the business they've built around her is completely real.

SIMON BOLZ 2026. PART TWO

We continue our journey through Simon Bolz's recent work with a second selection of photographs published over the past few years.

While the previous installment brought his name back to these pages after a long absence, today we can focus directly on what best defines his work: an elegant, suggestive, and visually meticulous way of portraying the female body.

Bolz knows that a good nude photograph doesn't depend solely on who's posing in front of the lens. What is merely suggested also matters, along with the model's attitude, the lighting, and that balance between naturalness and staging that makes every image appear spontaneous, even though nothing has been left to chance.

This second installment completes our selection of his work since 2023 and confirms that, despite the years that have passed since his last appearance on ALRNCN, Simon Bolz still has more than enough reasons to take his place on these pages once again.

THE APPEAL OF FRECKLES

There are features that people traditionally tried to hide but that, over time, have ended up becoming precisely what makes a face attractive. Freckles are probably one of the best examples.

For years, the beauty industry got us used to faces with completely uniform skin: the same tone, the same texture, not a blemish, not a mark, practically no sign that there was an actual human being underneath all that makeup. And the funny thing is that when freckles appear scattered across the nose and cheeks, the exact opposite of what you might expect happens: instead of seeing them as an imperfection, a lot of people feel they actually make a face more attractive.





Maybe it's precisely because they break up that uniformity. Freckles add little points of contrast, make your eyes wander across the face, and can especially highlight the eyes, cheekbones, or nose. They're a kind of natural pattern that can make a face more recognizable and give it more personality.

There's also that sense of naturalness. Freckles remind us that real skin isn't a perfectly smooth surface created by a computer. It has pigmentation, pores, subtle differences in tone, and characteristics of its own. And very often, those little irregularities are exactly what make two equally beautiful faces feel completely different in terms of how interesting we find them.

In fact, in recent years we've reached the curious point where some people draw freckles on with makeup or turn to semi-permanent treatments to get something that others spent a good part of their lives trying to hide. The supposed imperfection has become a desirable feature.

And then there's the part that's impossible to measure. Attraction doesn't work according to some mathematical chart where a pair of lips adds two points, a nose subtracts one, and twenty freckles add another three. Some features simply trigger something in the person looking at them.

That's what happens to me with freckles. Especially when they're concentrated around the nose and beneath the eyes. I'm not entirely sure why, but far from making a face look messy or taking away from its beauty, I think they give it character, naturalness, and an especially attractive touch.

In the end, maybe part of beauty lies precisely there: in those little characteristics that stop a perfect face from also becoming a completely forgettable one.

Because sometimes an imperfection doesn't take anything away. It's exactly what was needed to add something more.
