HULK HOGAN IS GONE. BUT MATT LOCKE HAS ARRIVED
Hulk Hogan has passed away 😔
The man with the impossible biceps, the bandana, the motivational catchphrases, and the hugs for every kid at ringside. The muscled hero who defined an entire generation in the 80s, when wrestling was family-friendly entertainment, the good guys were really good, the bad guys were cartoonishly evil… and somehow, everything always ended with a smile.
For a lot of kids, Hogan was the first real-life superhero. He told you to say your prayers and eat your vitamins, and he never stopped firing up the crowd with charisma, wild poses, and that classic energy that filled every arena.
He was the face of an era when wrestlers wanted to inspire, entertain, and make you feel good.
Today, that era fades. And in contrast —because life loves irony— we meet the exact opposite.
Matt Locke, the “All‑Star” from Texas, has made a name for himself in indie promotions like HOT Pro Wrestling and WrestleRave, fully embracing the role of the villain —so much so, he’s got kids crying at live shows.
In a recent viral video, Locke is seen at events where kids approach him to say hi… only to get yelled at, mocked, ignored, or even flipped off. The result? A show that’s somewhere between hilarious and borderline cruel.
Some say it’s just wrestling theatre. Others think he takes it too far. But one thing’s for sure: no one plays the bad guy like Locke.
If wrestling is supposed to be extreme entertainment, well… this is exhibit A.
Watch the video and decide for yourself: brilliant character work or totally over the line?
