WARDROBE CHANGE

The official arrival of summer comes with all kinds of consequences. Some more important than others. But one thing almost everyone ends up doing sooner or later is the classic seasonal wardrobe swap.

That time of year has arrived when you can finally put away the heavy jackets, scarves, thick sweaters, and all the clothes that helped you survive the cold over the past few months. Unless the weather decides to pull a last-minute surprise, chances are you won't need any of them again for at least the next five months.

So it's time to make some room. Fold things away, reorganize drawers, and bring back all those clothes that have been patiently waiting for half a year to see daylight again: T-shirts, shorts, light dresses, sandals...

The clothes change, but so does the mood. The days get longer, outdoor cafés start filling up again, vacations begin to appear on the horizon, and simply leaving the house no longer feels like an expedition to the Arctic.

Because summer doesn't really begin when the calendar says it does. It begins the day you open your wardrobe, push all the winter clothes to one side, and think to yourself: "See you again in a few months."

A self-taught photographer based in the Saint-Étienne region, he discovered photography later in life.
In his early years, he focused mainly on landscape photography and, from time to time, concert photography, drawing much of his inspiration from the work and vision of other artists.

More recently, his work has shifted toward portrait and nude photography, searching for a more human approach and perhaps a more creative form of expression.
Rather than locking himself into a specific photographic style, his approach is simply centered around creating images.

GEORGE PITTS 2026

We’re taking a little trip through the photography of George Pitts (1951–2017), an American photographer, editor and teacher widely recognized for the huge influence he had on editorial and contemporary photography.

About 11 years ago I already invited you to check out his Tumblr, but between one thing and another, a lot of images were left sitting in the drawer. So today felt like the perfect excuse to recover part of that material and also revisit his photographic career, his style, and that very particular way he had of capturing bodies, scenes and moments with a mix of eroticism, naturalness and aesthetics that’s incredibly hard to imitate.

ANATOLI TUR'S NUDE PHOTOGRAPHY

When I saw the watermark of our next featured photographer, I had the feeling I'd seen it somewhere before, a long time ago... I checked the website archives and, sure enough, it turned out to be back in 2012.

Anatoli Tur, also known as Toor22, is a talented Russian photographer whom we featured on AlRincon many years ago. He continued sharing nude photography for a couple more years and then, for whatever reason, quietly disappeared from the scene.

These are some of the photographs that never made it into that original post and that we're finally rescuing today.

THINKING ABOUT SUMMER ALREADY

Summer can either be amazing or a complete pain in the ass, depending on which side you end up on. The side of the people on vacation, partying and enjoying the good weather... or the side of the people who have to bust their ass so everyone else can enjoy themselves.

Because while some people are posting beach photos, others are sweating in a kitchen, delivering packages, dealing with customers all day or counting how many days are left before they can escape the routine for a while.

But hey, every cloud has a silver lining. And even in the middle of the heat, exhaustion and those endless shifts, little rewards always seem to appear that make summer a bit easier to survive.
