Nicholas Freeman is a fine art and fashion photographer based in Los Angeles, blending technical mastery with creative vision in a graphic and timeless style. He has worked for major fashion brands, both as an in-house photographer and as an independent artist, and is recognized for creating striking imagery that defines his subjects.

He trained in commercial photography with a technical camera and darkroom, but left school early to become an apprentice to the renowned French fashion and celebrity photographer Dominick Guillemot, working with top models and celebrities on campaigns and magazine covers.

Today, he serves on the board of directors of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), contributing as an educator and ambassador to the wider photographic community.

He grew up in California in the 90s, surrounded by fashion and pop culture, influenced by his mother, a tailor and seamstress, with whom he shared magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair and watched fashion shows together.

Outside photography, he is passionate about conservation: he enjoys diving, gardening, and hiking with his wife Drusilla and their two corgis, Kimchi and Katsu.

SOPHIE RAIN’S $82 MILLION

Sophie Rain doesn’t need much of an introduction for anyone who’s been following the online scene. Born in Florida, this twenty-year-old model went from being just another face on Instagram to one of the biggest phenomenons on OnlyFans in no time.
Her early content leaned toward fitness and lifestyle, with a polished and relatable aesthetic, until she decided to make the jump into adult content. From there, her rise has been meteoric.



With millions of followers spread across Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, her fanbase works as a constant funnel toward her OnlyFans. And that’s where she’s turned visibility into money. Sophie has gone viral more than once showing off her earnings, with headlines putting her side by side with athletes and celebrities.

The latest example came during a livestream with David Dobrik. She didn’t just talk about it—she pulled out her phone and showed the camera. On the screen: $82 million in the last year and a half. Her reaction said it all: “I almost made more than LeBron last year. He made $56 million. I made $43.” And as wild as that sounds, the math adds up: we’re talking about an average of around $4 million a month, with some months even higher.



To break it down:

• Sophie Rain claims she’s made $82 million in 18 months, which works out to about $4.5 million a month or nearly $150,000 a day.
• If she only lived off $5/month subscriptions, she’d need nearly 1 million active subs. But realistically, the real money comes from upsells: DMs, custom content, and PPV, which is how top creators multiply their income.
• In practice, with a base of 300,000 to 600,000 active subscribers, plus premium content sales, those numbers are totally reachable.
• That also means she needs thousands of new sign-ups every day to offset cancellations (churn rates of 10–20% a month are normal on OnlyFans).

And here’s the bigger picture: OnlyFans is built on an uneven playing field. Just like in other industries, the famous 80/20 rule applies:

👉 20% of creators generate 80% of the platform’s revenue.
👉 The other 80% of girls split the 20% that’s left, often barely making anything.

In short, Sophie Rain is the perfect example of that 1% turning massive popularity into NBA-level money.

Today I stumbled across another one of those X accounts that, at first glance, look like they belong to an actual content creator. I’m going to share photos and videos from it because they’re worth it, but I won’t lie: something feels off.

This isn’t the first time — and it won’t be the last. You can tell right away when you see that 90% of the timeline is nothing but retweets of other girls. That’s when the doubts kick in. A real creator might do collabs or give someone a shoutout here and there, but they don’t spend their whole profile promoting others.

There are a few possible scenarios:

• Fake accounts (impersonation): profiles pretending to be the creator, using stolen photos, with the sole purpose of driving traffic to paid links like OnlyFans, pirate sites, or outright scams.
• Run by third parties/agencies: it’s not her managing the account, but a community manager or agency handling several girls at once, cross-retweeting between them.
• Self-promo networks (shoutout for shoutout): a “you retweet me, I retweet you” cycle that spirals out of control until the account looks more like a billboard than a personal profile.

Whatever the case, when you see a profile that lives almost entirely on retweeting others, odds are the real creator isn’t behind it. From there, it’s up to you. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

VACATIONS

August is coming to an end, and with it, vacations for most Westerners. That month chosen by tradition to disconnect from work, flood Instagram with beach pics, and come back in September with a bag full of “memories” and a bit of a crash. And like every year, the media rush to publish their magical recipes against the dreaded post-vacation blues: get some sleep, plan your schedule, ease back into the routine…
But let’s be honest—there’s one foolproof trick: if you don’t want post-vacation blues, don’t go on vacation.
